The Transportation Informatics Lab is dedicated to advancing human-centered AI for safe and resilient transportation systems. By integrating human behavior insights with emerging technologies, we develop data-driven, human-aligned approaches and systems to address transportation risks, ranging from everyday safety to extreme-event resilience.

Our Transportation Informatics Lab received an NVIDIA Academic Grant to develop a multi-agent reinforcement learning framework that can generate interactive, realistic, and diverse safety-critical traffic scenarios. The ultimate goal is to support autonomous vehicle safety and crash prevention.

Our paper titled "Modeling Interactive Car-Following Behaviors of Automated and Human-Driven Vehicles in Safety-Critical Events: A Multi-Agent State-Space Attention-Enhanced Framework" was accepted by Accident Analysis & Prevention
